The Wellness Paradigm
Symptoms and ‘diseases’ are signs that the intelligence of the mind-body is under stress and is being forced to try to adapt to a genetically incompatible environment. Symptoms and illnesses are not indications that the mind-body is inherently prone to failures, they are signs that we are not providing the appropriate environment to support health and homeostasis.
The wellness paradigm addresses our body as an innately intelligent, self-governing, and self-regulating being. When we are exposed to a genetically appropriate environment, we will express optimal health. The wellness model endorses a pro-active, deliberate approach to living, that encourages lifestyle behavioural patterns that ensure the provision of all elements considered essential for optimal cell function, while simultaneously avoiding those elements known to be inherently toxic to cell function. The objective is to observe, support and encourage nature – not suppress, manipulate or interfere with it.
In regards to a healthcare solution, altering the course of a crisis of this magnitude requires a fundamental change in thinking, via education. Our approach to the lifetime “management” of our collective sickness must shift from a treatment-based, crisis care model, to a pro-active, disease prevention, and wellness promotion model. This is both logical in theory and practical in application. The outcomes speak for themselves: when resources (very affordable) are invested on the front end of a healthcare effort, quality of life increases, health expenditures decrease, and everyone wins. It’s time to focus on increasing health to prevent a lifetime of suffering and expensive “management” of sickness.
What to Expect
Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for you. It also will help relieve any anxiety you may be feeling. We have all experienced a “first visit” to a chiropractor, so we understand how you feel and we always go at your comfortable pace. Leveraging our modern technology, in advance of your first visit, we will email you a medical history and intake form that you can complete at your own comfortable pace online. Our processes meet or exceed the PIPA Act. We look forward to meeting you!
